This past weekend, we headed up to KL with Sue Lynn, Mun Cheong, Eden and Bethel for an over night visit. Here's a brief history lesson to go with the picture to the left that I pulled off the internet: Kuala Lumpur is the capital and the largest city of Malaysia. The most recent population record I could find was from 2006 with a whopping 1.6 million people, so I'm sure it's grown since then! It's rated as an alpha world city and is the home of the Petronas Twin Towers (Malay: Menara Berkembar Petronas). These towers were the world's tallest buildings from 1998 to 2004 if measured from the level of the main entrance to the structural top, before being surpassed by Taipei 101. This was our major reason for visiting KL of course, but we also got to see some of the city, the KLCC center, Chinatown and stay at a magnificent hotel thanks to Sue Lynn...the Ascott!!So, this picture was the view from the hotel that we stayed at. The towers really were beautiful...
